If we were married to actual James Bond, we’d probably be talking about it non-stop. But actress Rachel, 45, knows she and Daniel, 47, aren’t like normal couples.

Speaking to US magazine MORE, she said: “He’s just too famous. It would be a betrayal. You have to protect your marriage. When you’re young, you tell your girlfriends everything.

“One of the greatest pleasures of not being an adolescent is that you don’t have to share everything. When you’re married, that door closes. The audience goes, and you’re in your own life.”

Rachel and Daniel married in secret in 2011, after seven-months of dating. She is mum to nine-year-old son Henry, while Daniel has 23-year-old daughter Ella from a previous marriage.

Opening up about ageing, Rachel added that her life now is much easier than when she was in her twenties.

She said: “It’s hard to be young, too. It’s hard to not know who you are. My twenties were painful at times. Now I have wisdom and experience – I know what interests me in a way I didn’t before. I waste less time. There’s a huge relief in that.”
