Rachel Stevens has revealed she would be open to swapping singing in S Club for a career in soaps.

Speaking at Disney On Ice's Silver Anniversary Celebration at The SSE Wembley Arena in London, she told The Sun that she has been in talks with BBC soap Eastenders in the past but is now looking to seriously further her TV career.

She said: "There’s been talks about EastEnders in the past, which would be really fun to do a cameo role in, or something that would be unexpected or different."

Can you imagine Rach hanging out with Ian Beale or Mick Carter?

Rachel, who is mum to Amelie, five, and Minnie, two, said her previous commitments to the seven-piece UK band have so far prevented her from concentrating on a transition into acting.

Adding she would “definitely” love to get back into acting, she said: “Things have come up in the past but it’s always been a timing thing, like when we were on tour."

The 38-year-old is currently on TV as a mentor on The Voice of Ireland and admitted she'd love to join the UK show in the future.
