Prince Charles has spoken of his pride over new granddaughter Princess Charlotte, as well as revealing that she is an absolute angel of a baby.

The Prince of Wales was hosting a Clarence House tea party for Second World War aircrew when he opened up about his growing family.

According to the 66-year-old, Princess Charlotte is a ‘much easier’ baby compared to her cheeky elder brother, Prince George.

The proud grandfather said: "We were talking about grandchildren, he was saying Princess Charlotte does sleep through the night and it was much easier on mum then Prince George."

Princess Charlotte was born last month after a short labour.

Mum Kate Middleton, 33, was driven from Kensington Palace to St Mary’s Hospital early on Saturday morning, before emerging with her and husband Prince William’s baby daughter before dinner time.
