Two years on from their wedding day, Millie Mackintosh and husband Professor Green have been plagued with pregnancy rumours.

Now the 31-year-old has spoken out about why he and Millie, 26, have put off starting a family for the time being.

Professor Green- real name Stephen Manderson- decided to address his issues with depression in a bid to end a cycle of mental illness in his family.

His father tragically took his own life when the musician was just 18 years old.

The rapper told the Mail Online: "I think there’s a genetic link with depression and suicide.

"My dad did it and his brother did it.

"I haven’t yet had suicidal thoughts although there have been a lot of dark, difficult days over the years."

Now Mr Millie Mackintosh is undergoing therapy in an attempt to prevent him from following his father’s tragic fate.

"I felt it was right to take precautions by going to therapy and trying to fix myself, because – being happily married – children are the next logical step.

"But I can’t escape the fact that I am a product of my dad and I don’t want to pass this on."
