The position, reportedly advertised in The Lady magazine, also requires experience with dog and childcare.

Other attributes required are: “Someone with previous housekeeping experience, ideally within a large private house, and preferably within a family environment with dogs.

“Cleaning all areas of the house to a high standard; caring for and maintaining the home owners' clothing; cleaning silverware and glassware; purchasing groceries and general provisions for the house; and dealing with deliveries...”

This means as well as general house management the new housekeeper will have to help out with Prince George, family dog Lupo and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s new little prince or princess.

Understandably, as a matter of importance, the advert states that “discretion and loyalty is paramount”.

Kate is around the nine-month mark of her pregnancy to her and Will’s second child.

The 33-year-old sparked rumours she's expecting a baby girl after she spotted shopping for girl’s clothers.

According to PEOPLE, Prince William's wife was spotted at the girls' section of children's boutique Amaia in Chelsea.

"She was very interested," co-owner Segolene Tresca said. "Every mum that comes in the shop, they look for boys' [clothes] but they always end up looking at the girls' stuff too.

"We all hope it's a little girl because it will be so cute, they will be like a little couple."

Although the exact due date is unknown, Kensington Palace announced Kate’s pregnancy on October 20, 2014, which means she must have been at the 12-week stage at the time.
