Things have been rough for pregnant 19 Kids and Counting star Jessa Duggar after it was revealed that she was allegedly molested by her elder brother as a youngster.

But now the 22-year-old is finding light in new life after sharing a photo from her first ultrasound.

Expecting her first child with husband Ben Seewald in November, the young star posted the revealing photo on her Instagram account.

Jessa excitedly wrote alongside the pic: “#BabySeewald makes a first appearance today!!! #19weeks3days Yay! Almost halfway! Your daddy and I love you soooo much! #FirstUltrasound.”

The reality show family has been left reeling following the admission that elder brother Josh molested his younger sisters several years ago.

Josh, now 27, apologised for his actions in an interview with People magazine: “I would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions. In my life today, I am so very thankful for God’s grace, mercy and redemption.”

Jessa spoke out in defence of her elder brother in a candid interview with US station Fox.

She explained that she was upset over how her brother was being treated after being labelled a ‘paedophile’ for his actions.

The mum-to-be said: “I’m like, that is so overboard and a lie, really. I mean, people get mad at me for saying that but I am like, I can say this, you know? I was one of the victims.”
