He looked every inch the doting dad last week as he took three year old Harper for a ride in London on her pink scooter. And pals are relishing his role of househusband while his hard-working wife Victoria focuses on her fashion empire.
A source says: "Victoria was a little surprised how well David took to the role of househusband – he loves it! She often comes home to find him baking with Harper. He works for about five hours a day, then looks after her when she's back from nursery as well as ferrying the boys around to their after-school activities and playing football with them."
David's hugely successful football career meant the family uprooted themselves several times and now pals say David is more than happy to make Victoria's work his priority and is doing everything he can to support her.
A source says: "For years it was Victoria who was at home caring for the children and now it's a real role reversal. David is now the one asking Victoria when she will be home and what she would like for dinner and telling her not to work too hard – and asking if she will be home in time to see the children."
