Well, well, well - it looks like celebs aren't as calm and collective as they seem. This was no less apparent than this weekend when superstar Rihanna and RnB singer Ciara (pictured above with Patti Labelle) whipped out their claws and threw catty remarks in each other direction.
It looks as though Twitter is becoming the favourable form of communication between celebs these days, and not all of it civilised. Rihanna and Ciara held nothing back as they embarked on a vicious war of words on the social networking site after Ciara had snubbed Rihanna on television.
Ciara claimed on U.S. TV show Fashion Police that Rihanna had ignored her when they met at a party.
'I ran into her recently at a party,' she said on the E! show. 'She wasn't the nicest.
'It's crazy, because I've always loved and respected what she's done in fashion. It wasn't the most pleasant run-in.'
'Trust me Rihanna you don't want to see me on or off stage'
Rihanna was quick to respond, tweeting: 'My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u?
'U gangsta huh? Haaa.'
Ciara was soon to reply: 'Trust me Rihanna you don't want to see me on or off the stage.'
At which Rihanna laughed: 'Good luck with bookin that stage u speak of.'
'Pure comedy,' responded Ciara.
But the two obviously realised they had taken their public spat too far.
Rihanna, 23, was first to backtrack, saying: 'Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I'm heartbroken! That's y I retaliated this way! So sorry!'
To which Ciara gratefully responded: 'Rhi, u know its always been love since day 1! Doing shows and everything. You threw me off in that party! Apology accepted. Let's chat in person.'
We'd love to be fly on the wall for that one!
