In 2014, Michelle was the victim of body shaming by Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison.
The reality star said some cruel comments about Michelle's weight in an interview with the Daily Mail after some "unflattering" photographs were published of her in the paper.
"'There’s a Michelle McManus inside me dying to get out!’ Vicky Pattison gorges on pizza and chips despite her ‘constant fear’ of gaining weight”, read the tabloid headline.
Vicky laterapologised to Michelle for her comments and told the publication, "There are a lot of things I did five years ago that I’m not proud of, and to be honest, I wouldn’t even recognize the girl I was back then”.
“I cannot apologise enough if my comments caused upset or hurt. I can guarantee even then it was not my intention, just my ignorance.
“I hope you can accept my apology."
