Police are reportedly looking for the boyfriend of former The Only Way Is Essex star, Ferne McCann, in connection with an acid attack in East London over the bank holiday weekend.
Ferne, 26, has been dating Arthur Collins for a couple of months following a brief summer fling last year, and she recently opened up about her plans to marry him.
But now detectives are desperately trying to find Arthur following an incident in a Dalston nightclub early on Monday where a noxious substance was sprayed at clubbers.
Officers carrying out an arrest warrant raided an address in Hertfordshire on Monday night, and the police have warned people not to approach him but to alert them if he is spotted.
During the incident, two clubbers aged 24 and 29 were seriously injured and are currently in a specialist burns hospital in Essex. A total of sixteen people are said to have been harmed or taken to hospital as a result of the acid attack.
Among those present at the club were former footballer and Celebrity Big Brother star Jamie O’Hara, as well as TOWIE stars Jamie Reed, Jade Lewis and Chloe Meadows.
Ferne’s spokeswoman admitted that the TOWIE star was aware of the police’s appeal to find her boyfriend.
“Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their enquiries,” she said.
“She was not with Arthur on Sunday night, was not at Mangle and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded.
“As much as anybody she wants to know the truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately.”
The acid attack allegedly came moments after a fight broke out at the London venue.
The appeal to locate Arthur comes just days after Ferne spoke to OK magazine about her plans to move in with her new boyfriend next month. She also spoke about the couple’s plans to marry in the not-too-distant future.
“We’ve spoken about our wedding – we want to get married on a beach,” she gushed.
“I want these long extensions, mermaid-style hair covering my breasts, with flowers in my hair and no shows. He can wear shorts and a shirt undone, then we want an amazing DJ with bongos and a saxophonist.”
On the subject of having children, Ferne admitted: “I’ve always wanted to have kids, so it’s just waiting for the right time.”
