Ah, live TV - there’s nothing quite like it, is there?

And it doesn’t matter how experienced you are, or how perfectly you read your lines, something always has the potential to go awry.

Even if it’s something as innocuous as a poorly-positioned shrub.

Yup, one This Morning viewer was VERY tickled when he spotted a few leafy fronds seemingly poking up out of Phillip Schofield’s trousers.

So much so that he couldn’t resist snapping a picture of the moment and posting it to Twitter.

He wrote: “@Schofe your bush needs a trim!”

However Phillip, famed for his cheeky sense of humour, was just as tickled by the tweet as everyone else.

So much so that he even shared one of his own after the show.

“Only noticed that AFTER we came off air,” he wrote.

“That bush won’t be there tomorrow!”

And Phil stood firm by his word, even posting his own hilarious photo to Twitter to prove that the shrub had well and truly been given the boot.

Standing in an empty studio, and clasping a bush to his crotch, Phil adopted a very serious face for the camera.

He cheekily captioned the shot: “I’ve removed the flowers from the set after yesterday's #bushgate.”

“That should be the standby caption if there's a technical fault,” responded one of his fans wryly.

However another viewer - clearly thinking along the same lines as us - wrote: “But what are we going to laugh at today?”

Well, quite.

We guess we’ll just have to wait and see what ITV’s This Morning has in store for us, won’t we?
