It seems as if Phillip Schofield, much like the rest of us, is more than a little tired of Celebrity Big Brother’s Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell.

After hearing that the duo had cancelled an appearance on sister show Loose Women following a brief split, Phil famously labelled their relationship as “nonsense”.

“Do you know what? I’m sick to death of these two,” he said at the time.

And, when drawn into a debate about whether Steph and Jez are still together or not, the silver fox said firmly: “Who cares?”

However Steph did NOT take kindly to his criticism - and slammed Phil for his “disappointing” behaviour.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Steph said: “Phil is in the industry so of all people he should know better than to say something like that.

“It’s disappointing he feels like that. This Morning try to get us on as a guest every week so I don’t think he’s that upset.”

What Steph fails to realise, however, is this; Phillip Schofield will NOT be silenced - and he always says exactly what he thinks.

On Thursday’s edition of This Morning, the TV legend launched into a second rant about the TV lovebirds and their rumoured showmance.

During Ferne McCann’s entertainment roundup, he quipped dryly: “What’s happened now – publicly?”

While his co-host Holly Willoughby decided to opt for a more diplomatic approach, advising viewers that airing your dirty laundry in public is “a dangerous thing to do”, Phil let rip.

Asked about his thoughts on Jeremy and Stephanie’s shenanigans, he said: “I’d rather get down on that rug and share that bone with Clover.

“I couldn’t care LESS!”

He added, slightly more calmly: “She’s a very sweet girl, and when Jeremy came in he was absolutely lovely.

“I loved them both on Big Brother. It was terrific!

“On Twitter, I just don’t care! Keep it to yourself!”

Oh Phillip, don’t ever change.

Do you agree with Phillip Schofield - should Jeremy McConnell and Stephanie Davis stop airing their dirty laundry in public?
