Summer is officially over…

This Morning viewers were ecstatic to have Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield back where they belong. After a pretty long summer break that saw Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes take over the reins, Phil and Holly looked refreshed, tanned and happy to be back doing what they do best!

Hundreds of fans took to social media to express their joy at having the duo back on their screens.

And with new starts come new beginnings, as the pair unveiled a cute new addition to their This Morning family – an adorable little labradoodle puppy!

The brand new bundle of fluff is the show’s ‘puppy with a purpose’ - following in the footsteps of half-sister Clover! Currently nameless (it’s down to viewers to send in suggestions), the lovely pooch is training to become a guide dog and her journey will be documented on the show.

How exciting!

Holly even kept us updated on her two-year son Chester’s potty training, hilariously sharing that ‘he just doesn’t want to be a baby anymore’ and is tackling potty training early.

"Chester, who turns two at the end of this month, one day decided he was done with the nappies.

"He kept pulling the tabs off, so I decided to potty train him and he’s done it, the boy has done it.

"We are a nappy free zone apart from at night. He takes after his mother, he’s very quick.”

We’re super chuffed these two are back, aren’t you? Will definitely make those ‘back to work/school’ days so much easier.
