Pete, 42, is currently taking part in the new series of the BBC One competition and, although 25-year-old Emily is confident he would never cheat, she knows anything could happen.
Speaking to the Mirror, doctor Emily said: “I think if you are with someone who is going to have an affair it would be part of your personality and you would do it regardless.
“But Pete is not like that, he is very loyal and I trust him completely. Maybe I’ll be proved wrong but that’s how I feel.”
Last month Pete opened up to Closer about the alleged ‘curse’, insisting he and Emily have absolutely nothing to worry about.
He said: “If Emily was worried about me being paired with [a] dancer after just six weeks of marriage, then we’d have real problems!
“Emily is the most understanding and wonderful person; she doesn’t even discuss things like that.”
And Emily, who gave birth to their daughter Amelia in January 2014, has revealed she and Pete’s dance partner Janette Manrara are getting on great.
She added to the Mirror: “I’ve met Jeanette and she’s great. I think we’ll all have a night out together soon.”
