After years of studying towards a degree in medicine, the 25-year-old passed her final exams this month, much to the delight of her family and fiancé Pete.
Taking to his Instagram page, Pete shared a smiling snap of them both, alongside the caption:
‘She’s only gone and done it - Emily passed her final exams. Dr Emily Macdonagh, sounds great doesn’t it? So so proud:):)’
Fans of the singer congratulated the couple on the happy news, with one writing: ‘gosh, brains as well as beauty!’
Emily was forced to put her studies on hold in 2013 when she discovered she was pregnant with Pete’s child. But just a year later, she resumed her final year of medical studies, and has now qualified as a Doctor.
We hope Emily is treating herself to a large glass of something this evening to celebrate!
