Peter Andre says baby Amelia ‘solidified’ his relationship with Emily MacDonagh

Peter Andre has spoken out about his relationship with fiancée Emily Macdonagh, admitting that in the beginning he had commitment issues.

The singer, 41, admitted that while baby Amelia wasn't originally in their plans, she helped to complete them as a couple.

Speaking to a British magazine, Pete said: "I'm brilliant right up until the point I get close to someone, then I retreat.

"When Ems was at university our relationship was perfect, but the minute we got close, I was freezing up. I had huge commitment issues."

Luckily though, baby Amelia made her surprise appearance and Pete admitted that he now can't see anything going wrong with his and 24-year-old Emily's relationship.

He continued: "I am so happy [and] in this relationship, I can't see anything bad.

He told of his commitment issues in the early stages of their relationship

"It's all going so wonderfully and it really works. Though Amelia wasn't planned, she solidified the relationship… we've gone from strength to strength."

It seems that Emily wasn't going to let Pete's commitment phobia become an issue, simply telling him to stop worrying.

Pete added that when he started to freeze up, she told him: "I love you. It's going to be fine. You're thinking about it too much."
