According to reports, Pete, 42, wants to focus on his own, more lucrative live dates, meaning he can’t commit to Strictly.
Now ex-professional dancer James Jordan has suggested Pete’s sabotaged his own chances of taking the Glitterball trophy.
Speaking to The Sun, James said: “I can tell you now, I’ve never seen a champ not do the tour.
“The only person I can see being in the final is Jay [McGuiness] and I think he’ll win.”
It was reported at the weekend that singer Pete is feeling the pressure, and allegedly thinks the show will be fixed now his participation on the tour is uncertain.
A source told the publication: “Pete believes he’ll be denied the Glitterball as they want the winner on tour at all costs. But he has his own live swing your which is going to bring him loads more money and did not want to commit to weeks more Strictly.”
The reports come after dad-of-three Pete received a battering from judge Craig Revel Horwood, who said: “I’d be worried if I were him.”
