They have enjoyed a whirlwind romance since they first went public as a couple last month and, two weeks ago, they were spotted looking the picture of happiness on a romantic getaway to Cyprus. Now sources reveal Peter Andre, 39, is so loved-up with his new girlfriend, medical student Emily MacDonagh, 23, that he’s saying: “I’ve found my future wife.”
A source says: “Pete’s fallen for her and said: ‘I will marry Emily. It feels so natural.’ He said they’ve even discussed marriage, but they’re not rushing into anything. Although he joked that he recently had to stop himself from dragging Emily into Tiffany’s and buying her a big ring.”
The couple met through Emily’s father, Dr Ruaraidh MacDonagh – who performed emergency kidney surgery on Pete in 2010 – and pals say the pair grew close when Peter joined Emily and her dad during a charity trip to Zanzibar in February.
Peter told Closer in April that he feared he’d be “single forever” after splitting from his wife Jordan, 34 – aka Katie Price – mother of his two children, Junior, seven, and Princess, five, in 2009. But, in June, the star seemed determined to find new love, saying: “I will marry again.”
And sources say that, after failed romances with stars including model Elen Rivas, 36, and backing dancer Kristina Macmillan, 27, Pete’s told pals the key to a good romance is dating someone outside of the industry.
Our source says: “Pete’s said showbiz couples never last because it’s a clash of egos. But Emily keeps his ego in check. He loves that she’s training to be a doctor and insists her career is as important as his, if not more so.
“And he really likes Emily’s traditional family values. She’s great with his kids and Princess even asked him recently if he’ll marry Emily.”
The source adds: “Pete told pals: ‘Emily hasn’t said a bad word about Katie and is respectful that she’s the mother of my kids. We’re happy.’”
