Pete revealed: ‘I used to have a big crush on Cheryl, but it’s safe to say my crush has now gone.’
Pete admitted that he was keen on the Girls Aloud singer and was left feeling pretty pleased with himself when he got to meet the X Factor judge face-to-face at the 2011 Brit Awards.
He told a UK magazine: ‘I remember that night clearly, and I was really chuffed with myself.’
40-year-old Pete’s new fiancée Emily MacDonagh will probably be somewhat relieved that she no longer has to compete with the likes of Cheryl Cole.
Though we’re sure Pete is more than happy with Emily and their new baby, 7-week-old Amelia.
Peter has recently called time on his reality show, choosing to live a more private life with his expanding brood.
The star admits that he misses filming for the show, saying: ‘I’ve been asked if I miss having cameras following me around, and I do.’
He continued: ‘I miss the film crew because they’re my friends, and I miss them capturing the madness.’
