And it seems the father-of-three, who celebrated his birthday last week, is happier now than he has ever been.
The 41-year-old's fiancé Emily Macdonagh, 23, recently gave birth to their first daughter Amelia.
Taking to his New column, the singer and aspiring presenter wrote:
"I'm in a much better place than I was on my last birthday. I spent a lovely evening with Ems, the kids and my bros."
Adding: "And I couldn't believe that a two-month-old baby could write such a beautiful card. It said, "I love you Dad, happy birthday." She's already a genius!"
"Amelia is just starting to smile and it's so cute. I know she's only two months old but I'm speaking Greek to her every day because we think it's really important for her to learn," Pete added.
Finishing: "I don't know if it's working yet, but she smiles a lot when I'm talking away!"
