Peter Andre has shared his anger at ‘crazy’ panic shoppers, despite admitting earlier this week that he’d been stockpiling food to feed his family.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Peter shared a video of himself from an empty supermarket, scanning the camera along the empty shelves.

“Well they are definitely not lying this is absolute madness. Wow!" he said, and his daughter Princess agrees, “It's absolutely crazy."

He went on sarcastically, “What bread do you want? Do you want the multi seed one or the white one or what about this one?

“You've got to keep up with the fruit and vegetables... oh wait," he continued, filming rows of empty vegetable trays.

In the next post he seemed to have admitted defeat, sharing a picture of the chocolate and cake mix he had ended up buying.

However, earlier this week, Peter admitted that he had stockpiled food in anticipation, writing in his column for new! magazine, “We have started stocking up on dry and canned food, though. If we do have to self-quarantine, we have a large family to feed and it would be irresponsible for us not to be prepared.

“If anyone in our household is going to be exposed to the virus it's probably Emily because she works in a hospital, but until we're told otherwise we're just carrying on as normal.”

He then shared a post to his Instagram praising NHS staff, writing, “Approx 1.5 million people are employed by the NHS. They are working tirelessly and need our support now more than ever. #supportthenhs

"Let’s not forget the carers all up and down the country too #supportourcarers."
