The 41-year-old’s brother Andrew passed away from kidney cancer three years ago, and Pete has insisted his family will never get over it.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, he said: “The bottom line is, you can never really deal with it because it’s a loss, but it’s on a much larger scale.
“It’s like losing a vital organ or losing something on your body like your arm or your leg. You can still function in life but it’s never going to be the same.”
Since Andrew’s tragic death, Pete has set up the Cancer Research Peter Andre Fund to raise money for the charity.
And Pete thinks it’s the kind of project Andrew would’ve gotten involved with.
He added: “I think he would want to be the first to jump in and help make this happen. It is a family thing, it's not just me.”
Pete recently told Closer that he lives in fear of losing another person in his life.
He said: “The more you love someone, the more you’re going to get hurt. I feel sick when I think about losing someone else close to me.”
