Peter Andre has said that he’s not happy with ex-wife Katie Price’s decision to let Junior, 11 and Princess, nine, have their own Instagram accounts.

Peter has reportedly been ‘working with Katie’ to create a happy medium.

Addressing the issue in his New! column, Peter revealed that if he had his way, he wouldn’t let his kids have mobile phones at all.

"Everyone knows I don't allow them to have phones or social media at my house, but I guess it doesn't necessarily mean to say I'm right.

"I don't like kids having them because I think it opens them up to all sorts of issues, but as a parent you have to compromise with the other parent and try to work together.

"I can only advise and encourage them. I can't do any more than that."

Katie created personal accounts for both kids earlier this month after finally giving in to years of nagging.

The decision led to a furore on social media, with fans questioning her decision to make the accounts public for everyone to see, as this may leave Junior and Princess open to trolls and abuse.

Katie said she would be ‘vetting’ both their profiles, but many didn't think that was sufficient, with negative criticism flooding her comments.

One user wrote: “Too young... too many dangers even when parents are monitoring.. sorry my opinion!”

Katie defended her decision on Loose Women, stating that she would ‘protect them with her heart’.

"They get modelling jobs themselves, and social media is the way forward," she said.

"I find it an insult when people try and give me stick for how I bring up my kids. I'm a really good mum and I will protect them with my heart."
