Speaking to Holly Willloughby and Phillip Schofield, he said:

“They are taking over - my daughter wants my credit card and my car!

“They are great kids, they really are - showing off a bit but they probably took a little bit from me I suppose...”.

Peter also spoke about his 23-year-old girlfriend of nine months, medical student Emily MacDonagh, gushing:

“She's an amazing amazing girl.

“Being completely out of the industry that we're in, you can go home and talk about the things that are completely different.

“She's a lovely lovely girl and she's out there saving lives. In a year from now she'll be Doctor Emily... I'm really proud of her.”

On the more serious topic of his late brother Andrew’s passing, the Mysterious Girl singer admitted that he is still coming to terms with it.

'It’s still a very trying time and there's got to be something we can do to turn this in some way to a positive.'

Turning a negative into a positive, he has subsequently decided to launch the charity ‘The Peter Andre foundation’, admitting:

“It’s still a very trying time and there's got to be something we can do to turn this in some way to a positive.”

The Australian-born singer also opened up about his struggle in deciding when to continue filming his reality show, My Life, admitting:

"It's like catch 22 - when is the right time to start? My brother Michael said to me when this situation happens, you don't get over it, you just get on with it. And you do go back to work and you think 'what am I doing? Why am I back doing this?”

“But yes [the distraction] really helped me. Yes, you slightly grieve publicly... but you deal with thing front on and I'm so glad that the show seems to be doing well.”

Peter has teamed up with Cancer Research to launch his charity the Peter Andre Foundation, and added:

“Today is all about a positive angle on this... when a tragedy happens in your family, you get angry at the disease, you turn your back on it, you don't want to know about it.”

“I'm not coming here thinking that I'm going to change the world, but me and my family want to help get one step closer to the cures and they are getting so close.”
