24-year-old Emily says that their daughter- who is yet to be named- is ‘the most placid, wonderful child’ adding ‘even when she wakes up she doesn’t cry.’
Their baby girl was born after a labour that lasted just a few hours, four of which were spent in a traffic jam on the way to the hospital.
Despite Peter’s excitement over witnessing his third child arrive into the world, Emily was adamant that he stayed away from the ‘business end.’
She said: ‘He went nowhere near the bottom end, which was my choice. He’s never seen natural labour before, I didn’t want to freak him out!’
Peter admitted to feeling ‘a bit redundant’ as fiancée Emily gets to grips with breastfeeding.
Emily said: ‘I’m so pleased she’s latched on straight away. It’s gone so well so far.’
She revealed that she wants to feed her daughter both straight from the breast and by expressing.
She said: ‘In an ideal world I’d breastfeed and not express at all, but at the moment I can’t really sleep and I want Pete to feel involved.’
Pete was sure to explain to his big brother and sister, Junior and Princess, that breastfeeding is a ‘very natural thing’ and that ‘not everybody can and it’s not right or wrong.’
The next question is what will the happy parents name their new daughter?
