Peter Andre has wowed fans after showing off his natural curly hair on social media.

The 46 year old performed at a charity event in Monte Carlo, and while getting ready he considered leaving his hair curly rather than straightening it.

He said, "For so many years I would never wear my hair curly because I got picked on as a kid but I don’t know, I’m trying to adopt them."

Peter decided to ask his audience what to do in a poll on Instagram.

Although 67 percent of voters said he should keep it curly, Peter decided to straighten it as usual.

"The thing is I know it’s got to be what I’m comfortable with but at the moment I’m not comfortable wearing it curly."

He mentioned he might try growing his hair a little longer before taking the plunge.

Peter previously opened up about being bullied as a child for The Diana Award’s #Back2School, a charity campaign which has trained over 33,000 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors in 3,800 schools across the UK.

He said, "Bullying is a horrible thing. It really is horrible. Unfortunately, it happens. It’s been going on for generations.

"When you’re a kid with dark hair, dark eyes, strong English accent, much bigger nose than the kids around you. I was an outcast like you wouldn’t believe. I couldn’t have stuck out more."

Peter talked about how he was often beaten up. Once kids were violent towards him because he told them he liked football, which they thought was a 'girl’s sport'.

Another time he was tied to a fence while children took it in turns to throw stones at him.

"I was really, really scare, I was petrified," he said.

Peter performed at a charity event in Monaco for the organisation Caudwell Children, which helps disabled children and families across the UK get the services and equipment they need.

He opted to wear his hair straight, in a classic Peter Andre quiff and wore a three-piece suit and black bow tie.
