Peter Andre lost his brother five years ago after a 10-month battle with kidney cancer.

And as the anniversary of Andrew's death approached this month, the former pop star has paid a touching tribute to his late brother.

Visiting Marie Curie's Christmas memory tree in London, Katie Price's ex-husband said, "If I could turn back time my wish would be to spend another Christmas with him," said the star.

"We were never able to spend Christmas together as we were never in the same country at the same time. The only year we did was the year Andrew sadly died.

“He’s always in my thoughts but especially at this time of year.”

The reality TV favourite visited the tree and surprised Marie Curie's fan Marie Barker.

Speaking about the charity, he said, "I had read about the Marie Curie tree and thought it was a lovely idea. When the charity told me that one of their nurses was a fan I had to come down and visit.

"The work Marie Curie does is really important and people like Marie Barker and her colleagues are amazing. She’s the real star of this show."

Andrew was diagnosed with cancer in February 2012 and soon received chemotherapy to treat the disease.

He was believed to be responding well to treatment before his condition deteriorated in November that year.

Andrew's family flew to Australia to be by his side when he passed away, including Peter, and were left heartbroken when they lost him.

A spokesperson for Peter said at the time, “Peter is devastated. He was very, very close to his brother.

“This is the very first family member Peter has experienced losing. He just needs time to grieve."

Peter also spoke out about his devastation at discovering his brothers diagnosis prior to his death, saying, “I was horrified, so shocked, and I broke down.

"The tears were just rolling down my face and I’ve cried every day since."
