Writing in his weekly magazine column, the 41-year-old revealed that Amelia had managed to ‘spoil’ her mum.

‘Emily’s first mother’s day was brilliant,’ he said. ‘Amelia spoilt her rotten.’

‘How does a three month old know how to organise a massage, lunch and flowers- wow, what a talent! I told you she’s going to be a genius.’

Pete also took to his column to write about the extortionate prices of football jerseys, especially tops targeted at children.

‘Steven Gerard, Wayne Rooney and Joe Hart launched England’s new world cup kit last week, but a row over the cost of the jersey erupted,’ he wrote.

‘An adult top costs £90, while shirts for kids aged between 8 and 15 cost £42. A lot of people, including the government, have criticised Nike for the amount their charging and I have to agree.’

‘It is outrageous. But I hope fans don’t take their anger out on the players.’

Pete is has been busy filming his new music video after returning back to work following the birth of Amelia earlier this year.

The star has been enjoying spending time at home with his growing family, but admitted in a recent interview that he was looking forward to getting back to work.
