The Little Mix singer attended the premiere of ‘One Direction: This Is Us’ wearing a diamond rock on her left hand following reports Zayn had proposed over the weekend.
A source told a UK newspaper ‘It was so romantic - Zayn popped the question over the weekend when they were alone together.
‘It's one of the first weekends they've spent with each other, as they've both been on tours with their bands. He wanted to wait for the perfect moment.’
According to the source, Perrie – who was joined by bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock at last night’s premiere while fourth band-member Jesy Nelson was absent – was excited to tell her friends.
They said: ‘All her bandmates were at V Festival, and she couldn't wait to tell them. They're all really excited for her, as the rest of One Direction are for Zayn.’
Although 20 year-old Perrie or Zayn, also 20, have yet to confirm or deny the speculation, the Little Mixer proudly showed off her new jewellery when posing for photos on the red carpet.
The couple have been dating since 2011 but were rocked by cheating claims earlier this year when Australian waitress Courtney Webb claimed she had slept with Zayn.
However, in an interview earlier this week the One Direction star claimed their relationship was 'stronger than ever.’
He even got a tattoo of his girlfriend done on his arm in June as a surprise gesture.
‘I didn't tell her before I had it done and just surprised her with it when I came back from the States one day.
‘She was shocked at first but loves it now. She thinks I'm crazy, like everyone else does,’ Zayn does.
