The 24-year-old and her husband Thomas Cohen have named their second son Phaedra – reportedly after Peaches’ favourite band Tangerine Dream's 1974 album.
'Tom and I are completely overjoyed to welcome Phaedra into the world'
Peaches, the son of rocker Bob Geldof, told a UK magazine: 'Tom and I are completely overjoyed to welcome Phaedra into the world.'
A spokesperson confirmed that ‘both mother and baby are very healthy and well’ after the star gave birth via caesarean section on Wednesday, 24th April.
A source told a UK newspaper that Peaches and her husband are ‘absolutely over the moon about their new arrival, It all went smoothly and Peaches will be in hospital for a while to recuperate. Bob is absolutely over the moon - the whole family are.’
'They are particularly pleased about the significance of the date as it makes Peaches feel she is keeping her mum's memory alive.'
Peaches lost her mum to a drug overdose in 2000, when she was just 11 years-old.
Peaches was said to have planned to honour her mum’s birthday with Astala’s arrival - but missed the date.
The star announced she was expecting her second child in November, just six months after first son Astala was born.
Speaking to a UK magazine at the time, Peaches admitted that she had doubts about coping with having a one-year-old and one-month-old at the same time, but came round to the idea with her husband’s support.

'Tom was so supportive and relaxed, it banished my doubts and I started imagining the two boys growing up together as the best of friends. There are massive benefits to having two children so close together,’ she said.
Peaches’ sisters Fifi, 30, Pixie, 22, and half-sister Tiger Lily, 16, are said to have been at her hospital bedside since she gave birth earlier this week.
