The Instagram profile of Peaches Geldof is now no longer active and, according to The Metro, this is due to a request from her close family members.

While Instagram doesn’t comment on specific cases, a spokesman for the social sharing site told the newspaper:

"When a person passes away, we do honour requests from close family members to deactivate their Instagram account, which removes the profile and associated information from the site."

The mother-of-two's final picture posted on Instagram was of her as a toddler with late mum Paula Yates, captioned 'me and my mum'.

Following news of her death, the photograph had been commented on by hundreds of fans, many of whom were wiring 'RIP Peaches' and 'together again'.

Police have said her death is ‘not considered suspicious but is unexplained’ after officers were called ‘following a report of concern for the welfare of a woman’.

The toxicology tests could take "several weeks" to come through.

"Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death in order to compile a report for the coroner," they added in a statement.
