Peaches was sadly found dead last week at her home in Kent, aged just 25, with her 11-month-old son Phaedra by her side. The post-mortem was ‘inconclusive’.

She was also mum to 23-month-old son Astala. During her final interview with a UK newspaper, Peaches opened up about coming to terms with the death of her own mother Paula Yates.

Peaches said: “I’m not sure I’ve yet fully made peace with my childhood, but with my mum I have come to terms with everything.

“She had a really difficult time, there are so many parallels between us. Now I can understand everything. I think you have to experience hardships and pain yourself to fully understand people who have been through it and also you can never really experience happiness unless you’ve had that down feeling, too.”

Her death shocked those close to her, as friends have since revealed that she seemed to have found ‘deep fulfilment’ in being a mother and was ‘competed devoted’ to her children.

Speaking about motherhood during the interview, Peaches said: “Now I am a mum, I can correct those awful parts of my childhood. Before, I was not at peace with myself about it because I was just traumatised.

“But now I have the kids I can heal the situation. It’s so good in every single way.”

Sadly Peaches also revealed her desire for another child, saying: “I would love to have a girl, purely to dress her up. My mum used to dress us in matching outfits to her own and I loved that.”
