Former EastEnders legend Patsy Palmer, who first rose to fame playing Bianca Jackson on the soap in 1993, has ‘done a Piers Morgan’ after abruptly leaving a video interview with Good Morning Britain live on air.

The star had been invited on to talk about her wellness and spirituality venture, Good and Proper Hair, but was distracted by the headline along the bottom of her interview which read, “Patsy Palmer: Addict to Wellness Guru”.

Within minutes of the interview beginning, Patsy’s attention had been caught by the name of the segment, and she said, “Y'know what, actually, I don't even want to do this interview because I don't even want to look at what it says at the bottom of the screen.”

Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd, who’s been filling in for Piers Morgan after he sensationally stepped down from the show last week, immediately apologised with Ben insisting it was a quote taken from her book.

“I'm not doing this interview, I don't want to do it,” she continued.

"It's not okay to have that at the bottom of the screen, I'm not going to talk to you. My issues... I had them years ago, they were talked about by me many, many years ago and it's over so I'm not going to talk about it.

"I don't really want to talk to you."

Patsy, who now lives in California with her family, has previously admitted that back in the 90s she would often turn up to work high or hungover, but in 2004 kicked her twenty year addiction battles for good.

Back in February last year, it was reported the 47 year old was set to fly over to the UK to support her on-screen daughter Whitney after she dramatically admitted to murdering her stalker Leo King.

A soap source told The Sun at the time, “Bianca is a legendary character and the writers are always delighted to be able to invite Patsy back to play her."

We can only assume the pandemic halted the plans.
