Sharing a ‘Throwback Thursday’ snap to her social networks, Paris, 33, captioned the shot: ‘Dressing up as #PlayboyBunny for Halloween. #BabyParis #ThrowbackThursday.’

In the photo, a young Paris can be seen wearing bunny ears and a ruffled leotard, complete with long sleeves.

But shortly after posting the snap, Instagram users began to respond in horror, with one user writing: ‘That is wrong,’ while another said 'how inappropriate.'

However, Hilton later posted the photo again, writing: ‘By the way, to all the people who can’t take a joke. I was kidding. I wasn’t really dressed as a #PlayBoyBunny. I was 5 years old & had no idea what that was. I was just dressed as a bunny on Halloween.’

The Hilton hotels heiress also recently shared some smouldering photos of herself in bondage style lingerie, as she posed for a photoshoot.
