The 48-year-old actress, who became a pop culture icon for her role as sexy lifeguard CJ on the hit TV series, said that ‘no one appreciates the remakes’ when asked about the upcoming film.
Zac Efron, along with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson are reported to be starring in the remake, which will start production next year.
But it seems Pammy is not going to be heading to watch the new flick, and believes Baywatch belongs in the 90s, a ‘simpler, sweeter time.’
Zac told Reuters last week that the film will be ‘R-Rated,’ adding ‘it’s gong to be badass.’
‘I don’t think it’s going to be much like the old Baywatch, to be honest’ said Zac.
‘I think we’re going to reinvent it in a big way.’
And while this may be true, it seems many of the old characters will be included in the script - though different actors have been chosen to play them.
This weekend, Dwayne reached out to his Twitter followers to ask who should play CJ, writing: ‘I can’t tell you the amount of calls we’ve been getting from the most gorgeous actresses and models in the world.’
