After Rita Ora and Ricky Wilson flirted up a storm on the last series of The Voice, new judge Paloma Faith says she won’t be batting her eyelashes at the Kaiser Chiefs hunk.

Paloma has been in a relationship for the past two years - but keeps her boyfriend’s identity under wraps!

Speaking to Closer at the exclusive Tape Members Club, Paloma, who will be joining the new panel later on this month with Boy George, Will.I.Am and Ricky, laughs: “I’m so excited about joining the panel this year! I won’t be flirting with Ricky and Will though because I’m madly in love with my boyfriend!”

Paloma, sipping on a Crystal Head vodka cocktails to celebrate Flaunt Magazine at London Fashion Week, adds: “It’s all about the contestants, not about the judges! I genuinely want to find an amazing singer so I’ll be concentrating on that!”

Meanwhile behind the scenes, Brand Ambassador for Salon Science haircare and award winning hairdresser Andrew Jose was preparing models and celebs for the catwalk shows.

He found the time to give us his 5 tips on how to achieve perfect Fashion Week hair.

TIP 1

We are starting to see a move away from power blow outs, embracing a more relaxed low maintenance ‘Low Out or Low Blow. This is an undone relaxed style incorporating lots of natural flow and movement,

The look is essentially a lived in style with much less volume at the roots – lots of natural and pretty movement throughout the lengths yet still maintains the polish from a blow-dry. . . and the good news is that it doesn’t take long to create!

  • Wash hair with a glossing cleansing system, I love the SALON SCIENCE Celluluxe Shampoo (£15) and Conditioner (£17) with Swiss Apple plant stem cells for a power shot of strength from within.

  • The key to this look is in the prep, so mix a pea sized amount of Swiss Grape Leave In treatment (£15) with the same amount of Swiss Grape Thermal Crème (£16) in to the palms of your hands.

  • Rub hands together mixing the products, then smooth through ends and mid sections of hair. This gives extra protection from heat and styling with added gloss – it also gives the perfect amount of control/hold

  • Set the parting slightly off centre, Set your hairdryer to a medium speed and heat setting and start drying hair away from the face whilst combing through with your fingers

  • When hair is 90% dry section up the top section of your hair leaving the bottom part loose – simply split this section in to four and blow dry each section loosely with a big barrelled brush (a mix of Bristle and nylon is best)

  • Leave the brush in each section for a minute after drying to encourage the hair to set with lots of movement and volume

  • Roll curl back on its self after drying, then roll it up and pin it (or put on velcro rollers) to encourage the hair to cool and set.

  • Give hair a mist of hair spray BEFORE taking/shaking out !

  • Seal ends by smoothing through a whisper of the Swiss Grape Reglosse Serum (£18.00). Like a top coat for hair, this serum gives added gloss and shine whilst banishing frizz

TIP 2

Dry Shampoo is a fashion week saviour when running in between shows! Give yourself an extra five minutes in bed by giving your hairwash the elbow – remember to section hair off with clips, spray a line of dry shampoo and repeat throughout oily areas. Wait for a couple of minutes then brush through with soft bristled brush to evenly distribute the oil absorbing powder. For best results do this in the evening before you go to bed and then again in the morning to counteract oil build up overnight

TIP 3

Hair jewellery is a big trend for winter – glam up hair with a gold cuff detail around a low slung pony for on trend metallic glamour

Andrew's busy Charlotte Street salon was in full Fashion Week mode!

TIP 4

The combination of humidity and rain can leave hair unruly and unmanageable, especially when you are time poor and you are running from show to show. A simple trick that can save your hair do with minimal effort whilst banishing frizz, keeping hair sleek with a touch of movement, is with a simple top knot!

  1. Wind hair in to a tight top knot at the crown before going outside (use kirby grips not a hairband to ensure hair doesn’t bend)

  2. Let hair air-dry for an hour after coming in out of the rain

  3. Take hair down and shake it out - hair will now be controlled with a gorgeous lazy wave.

  4. Smooth through SALON SCIENCE Reglosse Smoothing Serum £18.00 to seal hair against damp air as an extra defence against frizz

TIP 5

A tousled plait is a go to hair hero, simply sweep hair back and weave a low, loose braid— this is an undone style so don't worry if pieces fall out it just adds to dishevelled style and gives a bit of face framing detail
