In Paddy’s own words: Let the sausage, see the roll!

And by roll, we mean STARRING role, obviously.

Yup, it’s official; Paddy McGuinness is set to star in Coronation Street this summer.

The Take Me Out host will play survival enthusiast Dougie Ryan (basically a poor man’s Bear Grylls), who meets the Dobbs and the Tinkers out on a camping holiday.

Cue him putting a bewildered Kirk, Beth, Craig, Chesney, Sinead, Tyrone and Fiz through their paces by Dougie… with hilarious consequences.

Looking good, Paddy!

Commenting on his new role, Paddy - who will appear in six episodes of the ITV soap - said: “Being asked to appear in Coronation Street was a very special moment for me.

“An iconic and much loved show not just in the UK but around the world.”

He added happily: “The character I'll be playing is very funny and I'm sure the Corrie fans will love him.”

We cannot WAIT for this!
