As anyone who knows or cares for a person with Down’s syndrome, the condition certainly doesn’t stop them from leading happy and fulfilling lives.
But The Call Centre’s Ursula Presgrave has shocked and appalled followers after claiming that those suffering from Down’s syndrome should be ‘put down’.
Taking to Facebook, the reality star wrote: “Anyone born with down syndrome should be put down, it’s just cruel to let them lead a pointless life of a vegetable.”
Understandably, many were left horrified and upset by her comments.
More than 1,000 people commented on the post, with the majority of people slamming her for her views.
One Facebook user wrote: "My son has Down's syndrome and is three but he is more of a person then you will ever be sweetheart. What goes around comes around and I hope your karma is terrible. Shame on you."
Another added: "You are a disgusting excuse for a human being. I work with adults with Down's syndrome and they a live a happy life doing day to day things that we can do. You are just a small minded arrogant b***h."
Rather than apologise for the post, Ursula then proceeded to upload offensive images seemingly mocking people with the disability, writing: “Upside down syndrome (sic).”
Police are reportedly now investigating the horrendous Facebook post.
