In the interview with ITV, he describes the night he killed his girlfriend Reeva, detailing and how he doesn’t want to go to jail for murder.

On Valentine’s Day in 2013 Oscar killed his girlfriend Reeva, claiming he thought she was an intruder in his house, going on to shoot at the bathroom door four times.

After the intial trail, he was sentenced to five years for manslaughter. But after the case was appealed he was charged for murdering Reeva and is now awaiting his sentence.

In the ITV interview, that takes place at his uncles house where he currently lives, he says: “I don't want to go back to jail, I don’t want to have to waste my life sitting there.”

He explains that instead of jail he would like to do what he has done in the past - help people who are less fortunate. He then continued: “I would like to believe that if Reeva could look down upon me that she would want me to live that life.”

Even though Oscar said he won’t argue with people who thinks “they should lock him up and throw the key away”, he doesn’t understand why he is being charged for murder.

He says: “Reeva was a fantastic person, but if their premise is based on the fact that I took her life intentionally, which has not been found then it’s a very sad thing”.

The judge will announce his new sentence on 6th July.
