With parents like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, it’s little wonder North, 3, is already designing her own clothes.
Kim took to Twitter this week to defend daughter Nori and her love of fashion, after users criticised the family’s lavish lifestyle.
The criticism came after Kim revealed that North’s clothes are all made specifically for her. Responding to a fan who asked whether North picks her own looks, Kim said: “We make all of her clothes so she picks the fabrics at fabric stores!”
Yes, you read that right, North basically designs her own outfits already. And she’s been spotted out in endless adorable outfits, including a metallic dress that perfectly matched Kim's.
A user took to Twitter to express her disgust, writing: “These are the kind of things why people hate you @kimkardashian”
But never mess with a mother scorned, as the reality TV star turned mogul hit right back, saying: “Bc she has a passion 4 fashion &we’ve given her the tools 2 explore that? Spending time w dad @work isn’t bad either.”
She added: “And maybe spend less time hating others and loving yourself. Life is good. Be happy & blessed, in all sincerity."
We agree with Kim tbh.
Elizabeth Lombardo, a clinical psychologist and author told Yahoo Style: “There is nothing wrong with a child being creative. In fact, it’s a great quality to cultivate in our children.
"Some children may choose their own crayons or markers that they use to make a painting. In this case, Kim can afford to have North choose her fabric that she then can help create into clothing. While it is not something that most people could afford to do, it certainly doesn’t make it wrong.”
What do you think? Is it too much to let a three-year-old design their own clothes? Let us know over on Facebook and Twitter (@CloserOnline).
