As lead singer Nicole Scherzinger increasingly stole the spotlight, the other members allegedly grew tired of fighting for attention.
But new reports have suggested that all that is behind the girls, and a reunion could be happening sooner rather than later.
A source told The Sun: "The band are in talks about reuniting soon and they are trying to see if they can get all of the girls together to do it.
"The fall-outs and bitching from back in the day are all water under the bridge now."
Former X Factor judge Nicole, 37, enjoyed moderate success as a solo artist, and landed roles as a mentor on both the UK and USA versions of Simon Cowell's talent completion.
But, following the poor performance of her latest album Big Fat Lie, Nicole was dropped by label RCA.
However it's not just Nicole's solo setbacks that have made her want to reconcile with Kimberly Wyatt, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts and Jessica Sutta - she previously admitted she misses the girls and life on the road with them.
She said: "I miss it. I miss the girls. I'm like, 'I wanna be able to do it again and really enjoy it and take it in and enjoy the travels with the girls."
