Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton certainly like to keep us guessing, don't they?

The on-off couple have been, supposedly, "off" for months, but it looks as if the pair are back together. And not just back together, either - back together and holidaying with Lewis' family, no less!

So how do we know all this?

It all began when Nicole posted a photo of herself on her skiing holiday in Aspen. The image saw the Wet singer posed by a snow mobile as the sun set behind her - pretty glorious backdrop, right?

Lewis certainly seems to think so. Just one hour after Nic's snap was unveiled on Twitter, her on-off partner posted a picture of himself in exactly the same place. At, judging by the position of the sun in the sky, exactly the same time.

Exactly. The. Same.

Fans quickly cottoned on to the couple’s romantic break with one commenting on Nicole’s picture saying: "Back with @lewishamilton then!!"

No kidding.

Despite this little slip, the couple have been very careful not to mention each other on Twitter, with the Formula 1 star only ever referring to his "Hamilton crew".

They even carefully posed separately for photos whilst at the same New Year's Eve party; Lewis popped a picture with rapper Swizz Beats on Twitter, saying: "I had the best New Years with my brother @therealswizzz & his lovely wife @aliciakeys & the Hamilton crew."

Too bad Nicole had already posted a photo of herself with Alicia Keys, Swiss beats' wife:

"What a #MAGICAL new years eve with friends and loved ones! Let's make 2014 the most #MAGICAL yet!"

These two wouldn't do very well if they swapped their careers for one in espionage now, would they?
