After her six-month stint with Sunset Boulevard and choreographing her new show Schhh for P&O Cruises UK, Nicole Scherzinger admits she can’t wait to get back to family life.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer, who got engaged to former rugby player Thom Evans last year after they started dating in 2019, says, “Family means everything to me – I’m a family girl. I want to go home and see my grandmother.”

And Hawaii-born Nicole, 45, jokes: “I’m related to a thousand Hawaiians. My grandparents have over a hundred grandchildren. I've been living in the UK and I’ve never been this white, being in this country. I've changed foundation shades. I'm scared my family won't recognise me.

“I love shutting off, eating good food and having good company. I'm grateful for the little things. I want to go home, eat the world and take a dip in the water.”

And Nicole says she’s thrilled that Sunset Boulevard is moving to New York’s Broadway after its stint on the West End.

She smiles, “It was life changing. The most exhausting thing in my life but the most rewarding. It felt like I'd won the Olympics when it was finished. It was hard work but it’s my passion and I wear my heart on sleeve. Now we're going to Broadway. It’s my dream job. I'm living my best life performing on stage… But would do less shows.”

Now Nicole says she’s been concentrating on Schhh, a multisensory experience on P&O Cruises, which includes dancers, spellbinding music and enthralling visuals.

She says, “I was over the moon to create my own show and we’ve been working on it for over a year. My mind is always going crazy with ideas. I have a love for entertainment and I wanted people to love it and feel transformed.

“You leave changed, renewed in a way. It moves me and it's from my heart. I always want to make a difference with everything I do.”
