Just weeks after reports Nicole Scherzinger and Ed Sheeran were dating – the couple have now split. The pair started spending time together after Ed invited Nicole to come and see one of his shows at Wembley Stadium.
It was claimed Nicole met Ed’s parents and the couple spent time in Ed’s hometown of Framlingham, in Suffolk, where they had a very cosy pub date. The pair posted cosy snaps together and we have to admit, they both looked so happy.
“When she split from Lewis, she was heartbroken but ended up playing Ed's songs on a loop,” an insider told the Sun at the time. “They're extremely close. Nicole says he is the male version of her.
“As far as he's concerned they were in the early stages of dating and he's been open about it with close friends and colleagues.”
But sadly now, it’s all over and sadly, the couple aren’t taking their relationship further.
Insiders close to them have said the 13-year age gap between Nicole, 37, and Ed, 24, caused the split, with one telling the Mirror: “They were never serious and it's now old news.
“The age gap was too big for them but they remain on good terms.”
We’re glad they’re staying mates. After Nicole split with her long-term boyfriend Lewis Hamilton in February – we all thought Ed would be great for her. And seriously – we haven’t seen her smile that much for a long time.
It won’t be long until they’re both snapped up again.
