She’s been fiercely defending best pal Rebekah Vardy since Coleen Rooney accused her of selling stories on her in October 2019.

Yet despite the judge’s verdict ruling that Coleen’s Instagram post outing Vardy for leaking stories to The Sun newspaper was true – Nicola McLean has continued to support her friend, and insists the hate towards her “needs to stop”.

The Wagatha feud captivated the nation, with newspapers printing pictures of the two women arriving at their trial in May on their front pages, and social media flooded with debates and memes over which of the women was in the right.

It was even revealed in July that there would be a Channel 4 documentary on the showdown, titled Vardy v Rooney: A Courtroom Drama.

And now speaking exclusively to Closer, Nicola says that she has already filmed scenes for the upcoming TV show.

She says, “I’ve taken part in the documentary – I don’t think this story is ever going to end.

“Rebekah is not happy with the outcome, but I’m glad it’s over for many different reasons. It took a toll on a lot of people’s mental health.”

Former glamour model Nicola, 40, is no stranger to the WAG circuit, having married ex-Queens Park Rangers, and West Ham footballer, Tom Williams, 42, in 2009.

The couple – who share sons Rocky, 16, and Striker, 12 – briefly split up in 2014 after a video emerged of the sportsman appearing to kiss another girl in a Las Vegas nightclub.

However, they reconciled the following year, and their marriage managed to bounce back.

And now Nicola says they are planning to renew their wedding vows – with her BFF Becky as a bridesmaid.

She says, “Tom and I will be 14 years married this month, and I’d love for us to renew our vows again. We really should have done it on our 10th anniversary, but Covid mucked everything up. So hopefully it will happen soon.

“I’d love Becky Vardy and [former Big Brother contestant] Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace to be my bridesmaids. They’re more than just celebrity friends.”

Nicola says Vegas is strictly off-limits though when it comes to hosting their vow renewals, adding, “Vegas doesn’t have very good memories for me, so it won’t be taking place there. We’d probably do it in England so everyone could attend.”

Nicola – who rose to fame in 1999 – became one of the UK’s most recognised glamour models. She graced Page 3 of the tabloids up until 2006, notching up hundreds of appearances, and described it as, “the best time ever.”

But despite posing topless in the past, she claims she’d never join X-rated content platform OnlyFans – where subscribers pay for private photos and videos – because her eldest child, Rocky, has banned her.

“Rocky is like my best friend, and he’s fully supportive of my glamour modelling days, but he wouldn’t be happy if I did OnlyFans. He told me, ‘Absolutely not. No way!’. With Page 3 you had your boundaries – you went on the day, and you knew that you would be posing topless. Whereas with OnlyFans, you need to do more and more so that people stay interested, and that’s when women start doing things they wouldn’t normally do.”

Since becoming a glamour model, Nicola has been open about her surgery, and underwent three boob jobs in total.

Yet she is now tempted to undo it all, by having her 32FF breasts downsized – revealing, “I’ll probably need a boob reduction because they’re so heavy they hurt my back.”

As well as modelling, Nicola has enjoyed TV stints, on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and Big Brother.

Last month, ITV teased the return of the famous fly-on-the-wall reality show – something Nicola is a huge fan of, having appeared on it alongside Gemma Collins and Marnie Simpson.

“I’ve done it three times,” she says. “It was crazy, but would I do it again? Probably – I love Big Brother.”
