CBB's Nicola McLean has today revealed on Loose Women the devastating news that she can't have any more children

Nicola McLean has made no secret of the fact that she would one day like to add to her brood and have at least one more child with her footballer husband Tom Williams.

But the mum-of-two's dreams have been dashed as she's recently been told that she will have to have her ovaries removed - meaning she sadly can't have any more children.

Nicola made the heartbreaking revelation on Loose Women earlier today whilst discussing her battle with anxiety.

She explained that she'd been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and, as a result, has been advised to have a full hysterectomy including removing her ovaries.

Nicola tearingly said: "I really did want more babies," welling up as she resigned herself and said: "But it is what it is. I've got my two boys and I'm lucky to have them."

Delving into her medical problems a bit more, the Celebrity Big Brother star explained: "I've had cysts on and off for years and had them removed quite a lot of times. Recently they were infected – I had a temperature of 41 degrees. The cysts keep on coming back and they are getting bigger.

"I have such a big stomach at the minute and it's really bothering me. My doctor said to me, 'They just keep on coming back. How many more times are you going to be lucky enough to have "healthy cysts"? You really need to think about this'.

"My smear tests never come back 'ok' either, I always have pre-cancerous cells. I have such bad luck when it comes to women's problems!"

She had some words of advice for any viewers who suffer from PCOS, saying: "Don't think that if you have polycystic ovaries it means the end for everyone, it really doesn't - and it can be manageable."

We're sending our best wishes to Nicola. ❤️
