Nick, 30, revealed that, during a recent meeting with hunky David, 40, there was an awkward moment, in which he wasn’t sure whether to hug him or shake his hand.
Speaking to the Mirror at the Pride of Britain Awards, X Factor judge Nick said: “Whenever I see him, I think I am going to go and say hello. But I can never say anything funny, interesting or that even makes sense.
“He thinks I’m a weirdo. And I have met him a lot of times. I did this weird thing of not knowing whether to go for a hug or a handshake. It was somewhere in-between. It was a horrible interaction.”
We can’t blame Nick for turning to jelly around David, he’s only human after all!
But Goldenballs obviously doesn’t think Nick is that weird, because he’s invited him to play football.
Appearing on Nick’s Radio 1 breakfast show, dad-of-four David revealed he’s set to return to Manchester United for a charity match, which will raise money for UNICEF – which David is an ambassador for.
Inviting Nick along, Becks joked: “I’d love you to come and play on the right wing if you can… I am a big fan of your football skills.”
