Kate, accompanied by husband Prince William, wore a knee-length red LK Bennett coat, black tights and black heels.
William has said previously that the couple’s son Price George ‘cries a lot and doesn’t like to sleep’ and it looked like this was taking it’s toll on Kate.
Bags were visible under her eyes and the Duchess also had a few stray silver hairs in the roots of her chestnut hair.
Like most new, working mothers, we can’t imagine Kate has much spare time for hair appointments.
While grey hair isn’t associated with pregnancy, new mothers are advised to wait at least 12 weeks after giving birth before dying their hair, especially if breast feeding, because of the chemicals.
Kate and Wills joined Barbara Windsor today, who launched the London Poppy Appeal, on the Poppy Bus as they travelled from Kensington Palace.
They met volunteers selling poppies at High Street Kensington Station, and surprised commuters with their unannounced visit.
Poppy Appeal volunteer Tim Connolly said of Kate and Wills’ shock appearance: “It was a surprise. We were told we’d be having VIPs here today but not who. It was a shock to me, very much so. William picked up the tin and saw it was full and said ‘well done’.”
