Earlier this year it was revealed that Rob Kardashian had been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. But, although his family hoped it would be a wake up call for the 28-year-old, it’s now reported they’re terrified he’s not taking it seriously.

“[The] problem is, Rob is half-hearted about the whole thing and not committing to the diet or exercise,” an insider told TMZ. “The family is worried his condition will worsen and his life will be in peril.”

Rob’s sister Khloe and his mum, Kris Jenner, hired a full time chef to help prepare suitable meals for him but it’s claimed Rob isn’t interested.

Kris recently spoke about how she felt his diagnosis would be a wake up call for her son.

“He wants to still come back and shoot the show, he just wants to feel good,” Kris said at a conference. “It's not that he doesn't want to be on the show, it's just he wasn't feeling good.”

“I think Rob enjoys all the family stuff we do. He has his business, his sock line and his stuff. But I think that it was just the perfect time for him to take like a little hiatus.”

Khloe has a close relationship with her brother, who is thought to be living with her, and admitted that she’s tried multiple times to get him to see life more positively.

“He's such a great guy,” she explained in October. “That's also what's so infuriating. He's charming, charismatic, everything. But I'm like, where is your will to live? Where is your will to live life? Let's be around people!”
