This Morning's Ruth Langsford is reportedly joining Strictly Come Dancing later this year

It looks like the This Morning presenter will be dancing her way over to the BBC later this year when she takes part in Strictly Come Dancing.

Ruth Langsford will swap her presenting role alongside husband Eammon Holmes for her dancing shoes.

We should have guessed that Ruth is joining Strictly because in the past Rylan has hinted on This Morning that someone from the daytime television show may be going on Strictly.

At This Morning Live he even admitted he wants Ruth to take part in the show. He told OK! magazine: "If you're listening Strictly bosses, PLEASE, put Ruth on!

"She would be so good."

The 57-year-old presenter has previously admitted she's keen to join the show: "I'm still desperate to do Strictly but they've never asked me," she told The Daily Express.

Now it's been reported that Ruth is joining Strictly. A source has revealed: "Ruth has always been a big fan of the show, and producers are thrilled that she has changed her mind and will be taking part this year.

"No one has signed any contracts for the show this year but she has had long talks with show bosses and, barring any injury, will be waltzing her way onto the show this autumn.

"Eamonn is really excited about cheering her on."

Eek!

We can't wait to see her get her dancing shoes on!

A spokesperson for the BBC has responded to the reports and said: "This is speculation. The Strictly Come Dancing line up will be announced by the BBC in due course."

Even though we've still got a few months until the dancing shows starts, there's already been plenty of rumours about the line-up flying about.

So far, there's been rumours that EastEnders Samantha Womack and Rita Simons could be joining Strictly and more recently Alexandra Burke has been linked to the upcoming series.

This series is definitely going to be different that the past; we've said goodbye to Len Goodman who is going to be replaced by Shirley Ballas and both Joanne Clifton and Natalie Lowe quit the show.
